Correct. Page still says ‘reg coming in June’.

How fit do you have to be for the masters categories to say… finish in top 20

Like as a 40 year old

Looks like last year there were 20 starters (18 finishers) in the 40-44 category so…I like your chances at a top 20 if you can finish.

Same question I have.

Just registered. $250 was a kick in the jewels.

I want to go, but damn it’s an expensive weekend for one race

Here you go!

Was this the worst covered offroad racing event of the year? Didn’t see anything on social media except a few pre-race posts, no live updates or many posts afterwards.

Seems like Brennan Wertz attacked shortly before the finish to take the win, Keegan surprisingly far back in the lead group:

Full Results

I couldn’t find any articles or writeups on it anywhere…the only place that had an article was Outside and no way am I giving those guys as much as a single click, if I can help it.

Yea i messaged USA cycling instagram account and told them their lack of coverage was embarrassing, not that they will listen lol

I tried to track it real time with their “live results” but they had a check in at like the hour mark and then not again until 4 hours…then it was just hit refresh until the end basically to see who won.

Sounds like it was a good race though would have enjoyed some better coverage.

This is probably the best race coverage you’re going to get. Saw the six-way sprint for second place on IG.

Four Californians in the top 9! :sunglasses:

Boring as hell. By design. That course is so bad….might as well be a road race.

It’s USAC, of course it’s terrible.

Tell me you are riding gravel without telling me you are riding gravel.

I’ll be looking forward to watch this on my next training ride. Joe Goettl seems like a great guy and does some fantastic videos. Very down to earth, never excuses, etc.

I see that Drew “no pull” Dillan also just posted a gravel nationals video. https://youtu.be/95IVknTLpOM?si=WWV6zqq_BVCCO9yC I’ll watch that as well. I just started watching his videos last week and while I enjoy the music and video, not really a fan of him as a racer. Makes some weird excuses/justifications and it’s blatantly clear he likes to sit in groups and never take his turn in pulls under the jest of “it’s my strategy, I’m not as strong, I don’t have to pull.” Not untrue, but dang. I’ve seen him sit on peoples’ wheel forever, then they go out to the side so Drew can pull, and he just slows down next to them. Really odd. In his unbound video this year he made a really weird attempt to compare Lachlan’s racing income and how much faster he was and somehow tie it into the dollar per minute he made more than Drew. Lachlan seems about as cool and easygoing as it comes, so making that type of comparison was odd, and the YouTube comments picked up on it as well.
