XC Race Clothing on the "Looser / Baggy" side

Assos trail cargo shorts are very nice.

Along the same lines, has anyone had success finding shorter inseam MTB shorts? I’d like shorts with a 7ā€ inseam, but I’m apparently the only one interested because there is nothing on offer at that length.

The Zion Ether I posted above come in multiple lengths, including 9". 7’ would be REALLY short on a bike (like…uncomfortably)

I sometimes ride in 7ā€ hiking shorts and like that length, but I’ve got shorter legs than most.

I was thinking more of bunching in the crotch, but if you’ve made it work, :+1:

I run various shell baggies over my normal road bibs. Every built in liner I’ve ever tried was garbage and I cut it out after the first ride. Cannondale make (made?) some awesome ones for their XC team since Manuel Fumic wanted baggies, I think this is them.

I run normal (if looser) jerseys, just like I have since the 90s. I don’t understand the problem mountain bike t-shirt things are trying to solve. I want pockets and I want to be able to unzip the thing when it’s hot.

I’m a big fan of the Zoic Black Market shorts over your bib of choice. The Black Market shorts are light, stretchy, don’t go below the knees and have a belt to ensure they don’t slide down as you gain or lose a few pounds. I’ve had pairs last 7+ years!

The more xc oriented shorts does tend to have shorter inseams than those for AM/enduro which are dimensioned to cover the gap between kneepads and short.
The Leatt mtb 1.0 I posted above does have shorter inseam than their other shorts.

I really like the following Tellus line of shorts and jerseys. Slim fit, breathable, stretchy and durable. You can get 25% off from the website now, or wait and they generally have a 30% off deal later in the year.

Omg. Please tell me that price includes the liner.

Nope.

Don’t visit the Kitsbow website…

Or 7mesh. I really love their shorts, but the founders did not leave the Arc’teryx pricing behind when they left Arc’teryx.

Just got a pair of my first ever baggies! Decided to go for Endura MT500 spray shorts as this seams to be the benchmark! Very excited to try them out. Going to use my older more worn bibs under.

I also decided to get a pair of Gore Tex MT7 shoes for wet days instead of my usual RX8’s!

Gonna top the look off with an USWE hip pack and a decathlon running long sleeve. Not sure how I went full enduro bro overnight but am excited

Can’t go wrong with the 500 series, or any Endura gear to be fair. (Except their 200 series chamois’, dont bother!)

I’m not sure if it was mentioned yet, but check out Pactimo. Their ā€œbaggyā€ kit is all basically XC kit.

I feel the same way about the enduro/dh gear out there. Flylow gear fits pretty well, check them out. I tried Ketl shorts but the shorts leg openings seemed a bit off (this was a little over a year ago right after Worldwide bought them).

Anyone care to recommend long pants in a lighter weight? I’d like to have some full pants for fall and early spring. Both for warmth and mud. Haven’t found anything I like yet for XC type riding. Have some heavier stuff for enduro and park days (which never get used because I’d hoped they would be lighter).

Off as in too big? I’d looked into these as they are a good price and very minimal.

Too small but might be a good fit for some.
