Go to this page https://www.trainerroad.com/app/profile/rider-information first option is gender, second is access. This one should be “public”. I don’t think there’s anything else.

Second is Account = Public/Private. Now Public. Cheers. lee

Ooops!

OK, just looked at your Ansel Adams workout. Your average HR in each interval (from Anaerobic Interval 4 onward) is in the high 140s and by the last set is in the high 160s. That’s what I’d expect. In fact the average for the whole workout including the recovery valleys is 151bpm

That begs the question: where did you get the “nothing above zone 2 from”?

Hi bobw. Not sure where TR is getting its heart rate zones from, but the Garmin device they were recorded on shows the attached:

Cheers, lee

Think you’re looking at that random “Simfro” guy’s ride…

I wouldn’t trust the Garmin data shown in the screenshot.
The workout has a duration of 60 minutes - the Garmin reported times only add up to 42:30 . . . there is obviously something missing that skews the result.

Just had a look at your “Ansel Adams -3” of today: Maybe the missing time is even below 103bpm :astonished:

Something is not right here. Looking at your past rides, you hit 169 bpm in a ramp test in October. So let’s take 170 as a working maxHR.
That means for Ansel Adams (link to your workout), which was an hour at .96 IF (i.e. should be ridiculously hard), your highest HR was only 80% of max.

I think the secret might lie in the power source listed on the workout page: Elite Crono Fluid Elastogel. Which makes me think you’re using Virtual Power, which can be pretty hard to measure reliably and consistently. Others might suggest solutions to help you keep the power measurements consistent, but I’d really consider getting a proper power meter to help you.

You’re right, definite oops.

Looks like the OP actually did the -3 version anyway.

As @martinheadon notes and as I noted earlier, an hour at 0.96 IF should be chest bursting.

It should be more like 92-95% of max once it gets going.

Hi Martin. Sorry for the delay in responding - sleep/work etc. You are right about the 169 bpm in Oct - i had forgotten about that as i classed it as an outlier as it is a reasonable jump from the MHR i usually see. But granted it might to correct as much as any MHR is outside a lab.

Good call on the Elite - yes its cheap and meets my needs in the depths of winter.

I think Ill swap to a more manual 30 secs on 15 secs off all out for my weekly high end bike session to ensure i am hitting the right mechanisms.

Cheers
