Unbound Gravel 2022

So hard to tell them apart at this point, all have completely muddy jerseys/helmets  looks like it’ll be an exciting sprint to the finish.

Interestingly enough just 3 grand prix riders in the lead group with Ian Boswell and Ivar Slick not participating.

Fantastic….hopefully no flats or mechanicals for Sofia now!

Unbound reel says she’s looking relaxed at 178

People look to be bogging down

I’m hearing Keegan second to Ivar Slik - that right?

What were the official times?

After breaking his wrist at Sea Otter, that is a pretty impressive result for Payson.

I can’t believe he’s only 29!

Slik is a big dude to be winning races like this. He was 2nd at Gravel Locos too.

Something funky going on here.

Happy for Payson and Stetina to be coming back after their injuries - the scoring for the grand prix not doing Keegan any favors here, but if he keeps placing first among participants it won’t matter :grimacing:

Both happy and bummed for Keegan. Awesome ride and result… but 1 second from the top step after 9+ hours. Ugh!

And Sofia about to win. What a power couple! :muscle::fire::muscle:

Jonathan has a great video of SGV crossing the finish line on his Instagram.

Dang, amazing how close everyone on the podium was after 9 hours of racing. I’ll have to try to find a video of the last bit.

So are we gonna get to hear Sophia and Keegan on the podcast soon to talk about their races?

I don’t know what “overly” celebrating would entail but I wouldn’t have found it disrespectful Slik to celebrate however he wanted.

Hopefully Keegan will. I believe Sofia has a sponsorship conflict, she did after Cape Epic anyway.

Those three mens riders in the finish shot … the only thing left looking clean is their white shoes :joy:

As expected, really was a race of attrition - lots of ‘big’ names are almost 2h behind the finishers (Howard Grotts, Cam Wurf, Stephan Davoust, Ashton Lambie etc.).

Can’t find any results for Alex Wild, Alex Howes or Lachlan Morton.
