It takes them less than a day to do the lottery draw…certainly not 10. Those are just the entry dates for the lottery.
You sign up and if your name gets pulled in the lottery they bill you.
Might throw my name in there. Did the 200 in 2019 (beat the sun, did ok) and tried to get in the following year but did not get the head-nod.

I’ll be signing up for the 200 lottery again. Crashed at 186 miles this year and DNF’d with a cracked collarbone and concussion. Gotta go back for redemption.

I’ll likely sign up. Unbound is a bucket list ride/race if you ride gravel, and it won’t get any easier as the years go by!
Any ideas on odds of getting a lottery spot eg compared to Leadville (which is hard)?
2021 it looks like around 4000 people registered and 2600 showed up and raced. I bet they let 3000 people in.
I do not know if they limited the amount of people at the race due to covid.
There are certain ways to 100% get in also. Those are more expensive options or you can volunteer at the event to secure a spot for 2023
I’m in for the 100 - deferred entry from last year.
My husband is going into the lottery, hoping to ride it together… otherwise, he’s my support crew.
Nope. Great ride, not this year.
Better alternatives (when they happen):
1.) La Grind: real deal event. Stage race. Same gravel. Love it.
2.) Lap the Lakes: same gravel, nice race.
3.) Tour de Lyon County. Will this race ever happen again? 
100 mile flat out gravel crit. W’sup Bonebrake?? Get on the stick!
4.) What’s Bobby’s ride? Umm…Flint Hills Gravel Ride. Starts out of Americus, not Emporia, but same gravel and a much more mello vibe.
Yup back in for redemption after pulling out last year at mile 114. Heat exhaustion. Finished in 2019 so I know I can do it.
I was not ready for that heat.
I stopped at all water stops.
Friend is doing the XL, I’m hoping to get in for the 200! I’m from northern Canada so very nervous for the heat.
I did everything I could last year to be ready but I only got 2 training days in the sun above 70.
If you get in you should def follow a heat acclimation plan
Deferred my 2021 entry into the 200, registered for 2022.
South Georgia makes sure I’m heat acclimated year round…with a side of constant high humidity!
My wife and I have our 2020 → 2021 → 2022 multi-deferral entries, so only the training remains. Looking for my fourth finish, had hoped to have my hands on a Gravel Chalise by now but COVID combined with the US-Canada border closure forced changes to our plans.
Now back to our regularly scheduled training. Currently dabbling with a slightly modified polarized plan.
Anyone see the “team” option mentioned above?
