TT Helmet for 2025

Given that TT helmets are expensive and impossible to test prior to purchase, whats the best TT helmet for a relative TT newbie with limited head position discipline?

I’m looking at POC Procen TT and Giro Aerohead II. Any others I should consider?

The aerohead seems to test well on a variety of setups and body styles. It’s probably one of the safest bet for speed without testing.

Fwiw I personally went with the aerohead and it’s been a great helmet. Wacked my head good in a crash and head was uninjured. Ridden in heat and keeps me cool enough. Seems fast. It’s worked great for me.

Are you using the Aerohead or the Aerohead II?

I’m willing to look weird for if I can beat my nemesis.

HJC Adwatt and MET Codatronca are generally the helmets that people find reliably best without testing.

The old Aerohead can be quite bad if you don’t get the neck/helmet interface right.

I wouldn’t go near the new aerohead unless I had access to a track and aerosensor or a tunnel.

Sorry 1. I also wouldn’t go near ii without testing.

Interesting, haven’t heard of either of them mentioned like that before.
How do people find them best without testing? Comfort of wearing, field of sight, feeling fastest?

I’m just regurgitating what some of the more well-known people who offer bike fitting and testing in the UK for time trialists tend to find - that those helmets appear to be reliably fast options for most people, whereas other options can be hit/miss depending upon your position (e.g. a POC Tempor, or an Aerohead).
