TrainerRoad Team on Zwift

I just requested to join. I’m “Scott Marlowe [Matrix/RBM/TR]”.

Great idea, everyone! I only just started racing on Zwift but I’m looking to get into it more throughout the remainder of the year.

Hopefully I can belong to two teams b/c my IRL race team created a ZP team when the pandemic started to encourage people to try virtual racing.

I can get it added to the lead post later, but we are free to use the Discord chat I setup for the Disaster events. It could be fun if we do events at the same time, even if we are not racing with team tactics.

Here’s a potential event weekend to plan on riding / racing in mid September:

I did the one earlier this year and it was a blast. I rode with some local friends, used the TR group workouts for chat too. I will check my schedule, but I think I may well plan on hitting this event.

I requested to join too. Steve Mitchell on zwiftpower.

It was the Haute Route at the start of lockdown that provoked me to get AppleTV.

I’m probably the wrong time zone, but (as things stand) I have an actual real world event that weekend!

Request sent on zp.

Approved.

Requested!

Requested as well. Took me a while to find the teams section as I have not been on there in a loooong time

Got these two, Adam & Eric.

Thanks Chad. I am however 90% of the way to getting all badges. Been a good grind.

Requested to join as well. I don’t race often, but would love to ride some of the events with a TR crew.

Got you @shawrx.

There are two pending, that I don’t recognize. Did we miss anyone?

Wow, that looks like a brutal 3 days.

The last one sure was, which is what made it “fun”. I see it as a potential target for A-Race replacement and the Stage aspect is a great challenge too. Even if someone only took on one day, you can sure put yourself to the test

I’m slowly getting more into some of these events. I’m pretty OCD about just following my TR plan so I typically don’t like to get derailed by Zwift events. That said I did the Ventoux climb in the TDF event and really enjoyed it so’ll I’ll definitely give this a go as well.

I was much the same in the past. I found that using these as alternates to group rides or events, became a more “practical” application of my training vs pure training progress kept me more involved and motivated.

It’s good to push yourself without a defined block of time and power. The element of unknown and lack of any “restraint” can be cool if you want to test and apply that fitness.

It’s probably smart to get fully into them and derail training in general, but a few events a month can serve a great purpose.

Haha!, that’s me too
