On the 260 mile, 36,000’ bikepacking adventure I just did this past weekend, I could not rip open ANY packets - especially the Skratch chews packets - and definitely swerved over into the bushes a few times. They feel glued shut with super glue. Especially after your fingers are completely toast from using the shifter and brakes for so long.
And sticky shifters are THE WORST! 
Someone could make a lot of money with “Easy-rip” ride food technology.
