Suspension tuning resources

Hi - can anyone recommend some suspension tuning resources for me? Perhaps a YouTuber? I have a full suspension with fox 34 2026 SL w grip x and fox float performance elite. So much info out there is geared more towards trail riding and I’m more interested in setting things up to be faster, even if it’s not the most plush. I’m also only 130 lbs and often feel like the info is coming from the perspective of a heavier guy or guys riding more aggressively downhill and slowly uphill. I’ve gone through a couple of guides but just want to get more of an XC perspective for lighter riders. I do local and regional races that are a mix of rooty, rocky, and smooth eastern US courses mostly leaning towards more technical XC and marathon events.

So depending upon the bike - the setups do vary due to the type linkage and lever ratios…

But as strong starting point would be to set them up so they feel balanced, somewhere around 20% sag at the front and maybe 25% sag at the back.

On my epic evo - i’ve recently set it up for summer - so a firmer ride.
This is now running just under 20% sag at the front and 25% sag at the rear.
I like it firmer - as i’m doing shorter XCO races and it needs to feel stable under standing efforts

For a marathon style race you may want a bit more comfort, depending upon the terrain and what your body can handle.

I’ve look for resources as well - but they never delve into the numbers. and often people reviewing the bikes set it up for trail riding rather than racing.

I just tinker and test it, not neccessarliy for speed but for feel. I’m only racing becuase i love it, so its more about the overal experience than aiming for the podium.

Good luck
