Spare AXS battery storage on-bike?

I’d like to have it on the bike pretty much permanently, but easy access so I can swap it out/recharge as necessary, probably as an extended plate from under a bottle cage, a la mini pump holders? Holding the battery longitudinally along the frame if you follow me?

Yeah, I do. Near as I can see it, the options are probably on the saddle rails (less universal due to people having saddle bags), on the seat tube, or somehow connected to the bottle bosses. Bottle boss would probably be the most subtle but would either necessitate unscrewing the bolt to swap or some sort of snap closure. Snap closures are more dependant on the right interferance and susceptable to different printing getting different results. I’ll think about it. My instinct is more secure/weatherproof is a good tradeoff considering the relative high cost and relative low frequency of access.

I tend to agree that a bottle hard point extension of some kind is probably the move (but keeping it out of way of spilled drink is a factor too.

I keep mine in my saddle bag.

I keep all my electronics (iPhone, AXS battery, AXS shifter battery) safe in a Rapha waterproof case that I carry in my jersey pocket. The idea is to take care that if I ever need the battery, it will be in good working condition and not effected by rain and mud. I cycle the batteries so that also the spare AXS battery gets charged frequently.

I did the same but got worried about forgetting about it and it draining over time, though that’s probably paranoia as the drain rate must be v slow.

I simply alternate between them. I have never noticed any huge drain. But then again, one charge lasts weeks.
