They sell those outside of Japan?!?!!

Haha I LOVE this! The only thing missing is a nice mount for your front wheel?

You going for urban cafe racer scrambler with the bike?

I like that you’ve got the wheel off the bike, no place to mount the wheel, and no room in the cab for the wheel!

Great stuff though! Lots of fun

Ohhh have since made one:

Amazing! 10/10!

Going MADMAX 1988 Honda NX650.

Awesome! I had a pickup in the 80’s and a Yakima rack (bar) with 2 mounts and wheel forks, and there was nothing easier to haul around bikes. It was so easy to toss them in the back, lock everything in and cruise. Wish I had that setup today. Good memories of driving all over to go to tours/rides and coming back home dirty, tired, happy…

@ sjmayclin or others:

Inches away from pulling the trigger on an M240i. Curious if anyone here has ownership experience with the G42 gen, or considered it and went with something else?

There’s actually very few alternatives on the market, strangely enough. It’s a car that seems like it has a lot of options, but they’re all subtley different. Merc doesn’t make anything competitive on the cost or power front, and Audi’s closest is either the RS3 or S5 depending on how you want to slice it. I don’t want anything from Stellantis, nor a Mustang.

OMG… I had a chance to buy an '08 XT Sport in WRB with BBS and kick myself so hard for not getting it. Amazing rig!!!

One of my best friends had an 05 WRX premium that took an unscheduled exploration of its upside down abilities when he let a friend drive it; that got replaced with an 05 STI in WRB that he still has. Man, it’s raw and I love it.

Actually those two cars taught me that more is not always more. The STI is absolutely more of a race car but the WRX premium was much more enjoyable to drive daily.

I kinda miss my old Grand Prix.

I got to make one run on that setup and then got kicked out for no cage :smiling_imp:

I see those in town and at autocross races and would really love to drive one. Aside from the obvious drive wheel difference to my Miata, these look like a blast to rip around.

One of my (other) good friends has a JCW convertible. Apart from it being very FWD, it’s fun. Great city car.

I had a 1989 Shelby CSX which was a lame Dodge Shadow with a silly turbo, fiberglass wheels & Recaro seats.

Google pic since I don’t have one handy

The variable vane turbo aimed to minimize lag, but it still hit the power curve like a 2-stroke 125cc MX bike with torque steer was something to behold :stuck_out_tongue: I expect a proper limited-slip diff in a modern FWD can help tame that but haven’t had the pleasure to try.

At least in hers, it’s significant. But my definition of significant torque steer may be “I can feel it,” as I really dislike it.

I know that feeling…
