Only have a road and a TT bike and both use SPDs. It’s a holdover from my long distance randonneuring where I’d ride my road but me w MTB shoes as they were way easier to walk around in at checkpoints (esp after 600k).
I don’t use MTB shoes anymore, but ive kept SPD cleat usage…not sure why but I never had a good reason to switch.
