Just get some M520s, and shoes that fit you. The M520s are great pedals, you won’t get better value for money, and anything more expensive only offers marginally better specs (light weight, usually). Shimano are everywhere, you won’t have trouble with compatability issues or anything.

looks like they’re still in pre-order but my understanding is that at least a few units have been shipped for testing and reviews. so it’d be quite the con if they didn’te xist!

IQ2 also has an MTB pedal based system and it is in pre-order too. Who knows when it will ship but it definitely looks like things are coming down the pipeline. I am a big fan of Lake shoes. CX238 is the one i use.

And XT race pedals - you can never go wrong with those.
