Motivational issues

Sometimes I don’t even see TR as training for cycling, I use it as a jump-start to the day ahead.

If I know I’ve got something on my mind that I’m picking away at but I’m not sure I can resolve the issue, I think back to a TR session and say to myself, ‘Well you got through that and you didn’t think you would.’ Once I remember that I’ve faced adversity and come through the other side, things seem to be a little less stacked, if you get my drift?

In a nutshell, I use TR for my day-to-day, not just for riding and racing. This is also why I love Chad and his words of encouragement. As he says, the last interval is the hardest, yet we often do our best work there. I think this is true of life and the challenges we all face.
