Extremely disappointed too even though my v5 and climb are mostly gathering dust atm
Iām running a kickr v5 that Iāve had over 4years.
Earlier this year it had a firmware update that added two new features
*Added: KICKR Race Mode - Requires a Direct Connect
*Added: ERG Easy Ramp
I canāt really complain to be honest
The only features it doesnāt have now that the V6 does have is WiFi and virtual gears - both of which appear to be hardware limitations.
Non of this seems to be wahoo cynically pushing people to upgrade.
Disagree somewhat. I donāt see it as them pushing for an upgrade so as much as them abandoning customers with perfectly viable units.
Why put brakes on the bike if they donāt ever do anything, for example. There were explicit and implicit promises of features that will never come to fruition. Lame.
Admit that I canāt speak for the kickr bike as I donāt have one.
If they have broken promises than yeah, thatās not ideal.
I do always, and would always recommend, only buying products based on what they can do at the point of purchase - donāt rely on future promises.
