Keeping cool indoors?

Sorry to dig up an old topic but I figure it’s better then starting a new one.

The subject came up again in last weeks AACC where they discussed the fact that if you have sweat beading on your skin, it won’t evaporate and thus not cool.
During yesterdays SS-session I had a lightbulb moment - or a brain fart. I can’t decide so maybe someone can help me:
Would cooling not be helped by wearing cotton, eg a t-shirt? Once it’s damp/wet, there is way more surface area for moisture to evaporate from then your torso.

As everyone who does outdoor activities in winter climate knows, cotton is the last thing you want to wear, if it gets damp you get cold real quick…

I want to be wrong but if I can stay only a little cooler while on the trainer, I wont let vanity get in the way!
