How much does RPE at the end of a workout effect AI adaptations?

How much does RPE at the end of a workout effect AI adaptations? The reason I ask, is because when I do “heat training” with easy endurance workouts, the RPE is HARD and sometimes VERY Hard. Additionally, when I am doing slower cadence work, my HR is not as high, and the workout RPE will at times be just “moderate.” Truly appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks!

Hey there,

The main impact of these survey responses will likely be seen in any proposed adaptations for your upcoming workouts in that zone.

Z2 workouts are generally supposed to be “easy” or “moderate,” so if you rate them “hard” or “very hard,” this may set off some alarm bells for Adaptive Training.

If you’re aware of what you’re capable of doing during the heat sessions, though, you can accept or decline those adaptations accordingly.
