Hi, I bought the Elite Justo 2 about two months ago to replace a Kickr Move that I was having all sorts of problems with.
I’ve recently noticed that the Justo has been measuring higher values compared to my Assioma. During a 3 minute all out session, the Justo measures 410 watts while the Assioma is closer to 387 watts. During a 1 minute effort, the Justo measures 531 watts and the Assioma 507 watts. I have two pairs of Assioma pedals that are roughly in the same 2-3 watt range. So they seem fine.
Do any of you have any idea what this could be? I think over 20 watts is quite a large deviation, especially as both power meters state an accuracy of 1% or less. Normally, the pedals should logically measure slightly higher values.
I have already tried calibrating all the power meters, reconnecting them, etc., but nothing has worked. The Justo gives an offset value of 6756, which you can’t do anything with, right? My trainer doesn’t have a sticker with a standard value for this. Of course, I also wrote to Elite two days ago but haven’t heard anything yet. Thought maybe someone here might have an idea or a similar problem.
I’ll be curious to hear what Elite has to say since the Justo has an accuracy rating of +/-1%.
How did your Assiomas compare to your KICKR?
@HLaB has the right idea, at least for the time being. I’d use PowerMatch to rely on your Assiomias for now. Even if your trainer wasn’t as far off, if you use your Assiomias outside, using them as your “source of truth” inside doesn’t hurt either..
I had an Elite Suito in the past, the the power reading against the Assioma was off as well. Also, using it as powermatch was another headache. The trainer had a fairly long lag to respond to power changes, and it would often overrespond, having to then bring the resistance down. It was a constant cat and mouse chase.
@AlexMartins no I have two pairs of Duos at home which I used to compare.
@HLaB valid point. But it feels kind of stupid to spend quite some money to have a highly accurate trainer and then use a different pwoermeter to do the job.
@eddiegrinwald Assiomas and the Kickr were spot on within 2-3 Watts. Justo 2 is sometimes off more than 20 Watts compared to both sets of Assiomas.
It is still hard to say exactly who’s right and who’s wrong, but the fact that you have two of the three sources reading closely and one that stands out tells me that it’s likely your Elite is off.
Let me know what they have to say when you hear back!
But I don’t think it was TR fault. It seems that the Elite Suito wasn’t exactly quick to respond. I’m on dumb rollers for about two year now, no worries and regrets.
I experienced the same (Except I have the forerunner to the Asioma Uno, the Favero Be Pro S), both PC and App were the same with me too, and I would agree it was the Elite Suito that was the problem. I use the Suito on resistance mode and its not as bad as their ‘Laggy’ and random ERG.
