Gravel Wheel Questions

I had grand designs to use my old Madone for some light gravel, and the rears fit pretty tight, but there was room, so I stuck the front on. It seemed to go on pretty easily, but when I dropped it off the work stand, the front was locked up. The knobs were inside the end of the steer tube. YIKES! Had to go out and buy a new bike. To fit the tires. They were great looking tires! N+1? (+1 for creative reason to get a new bike? And a gravel bike at that)

Best money spent too. The tires fit great, and are perfect for the conditions around here. Ride (and shop?) on!

Merida ships the lower spec Silex / eSilex with 17 IWR rims (not tubeless compatible) with 700x40 ramblers. So I imagine it’s the common size for most lower spec bikes anyway… so not exactly crazy
