Favorite gravel Bars

I have the Enve Aero In Route Road Bars, did all sorts of stuff to adjust the clip on’s and it was a pain. Thinking of getting rid of them for this reason.

I’m not sure I have a favorite yet. I’ve been looking around for a bar with moderate flair and an outward drop angle (looking down the back ends of the drops are angled outward). I just ordered a Salsa Cowchipper Carbon 2.0 which looks like it will fit the bill. On sale for 1/2 price ATM.

Imma spice it up with some Camp And Go Slow western rattler bar tape.

LInking back to this thread - some info on Aero Bars here:

Thanks for the input everyone. I don’t think I would ever use clip on aero extensions for what I do. I don’t have a desire to do really long gravel races that would require the aero extensions. I was just looking at either the Enve SES AR or SES Aero In Route Bars. I likely will stick with SES AR Bars in 40.

I have them both… aero road bars on my SuperSix Evo gen 4 and AR bars on my trainer bike (used for a while on my prior road bike). I believe a AR bars are intended to have the shifters relatively vertical with the flare starting lower. I’ve been rotating my hoods in though.

The AR tops are too skinny/straight for me and it was tricky to get the straight part of the drops in the right position where it didn’t feel like my wrists were at a slightly odd angle. That might just be a “me” problem  They are nice bars.

I really like the aero bars but I don’t think Enve wants you to use them off road…might want to double check before committing. I’m 6’5” and the aero bars are perfect at 37cm hoods/42 drops. The 38cm AR are labeled 38.5cm on the bar and slightly too wide once I’ve been riding the aero bars for a while. That’s just a fit preference though.

I had to get a replacement after a minor crash on my AR road bars and Enve were GREAT. It was covered under their incidental damage policy and they replaced them for free (can’t remember if I paid shipping)

Thanks as that was the exact input I was looking for. I like having the hoods flared in as it is much more comfortable for me and not vertical. That was my concern with the AR Bars since the ones I have seen seem like the hoods are vertical and the flare is in the drops. It sounds like you can turn the hoods in a bit but they don’t seem to be designed this way. I may have to reinvestigate and check with Enve on using the Aero bars on a gravel bike.

I have the AR bars and turned in hoods. Can’t say I found an issue with that. Overall very happy with them on my gravel bike.

What gravel bar is everyone running in 2026? Rocking Enve still - feels like there aren’t enough good gravel options still.

Enve Aero 37/42. Would switch to the one piece if they were available in -12.

Easton EA70AX, 42cm. They have a carbon fiber version as well. The ergonomics are perfect for my position on the bike.
