That stinks about the import fee
I’ve had a Factor for a few years now and it’s been a great bike. Always get compliments on it and it’s been nice to have a somewhat novel bike among the sea of Specialized and Giants.
That said, I can’t comment on the experience of ordering direct from Factor or their overall value for money as I got mine through Pros Closet. I’d definitely consider buying from Factor again but do find their prices to be kind of high for a direct sales brand. But then again, almost all bike prices currently seem insane to me.
Factor makes very good bikes. With that said you may want to test ride Ostro Gravel before pulling a trigger, I was in the same boat and decided against buying Ostro. Crux is very comfortable, playful and compliant. Ostro Gravel is pretty much full on race bike, very stiff, while Ostro Gravel felt like Ostro with bigger tire clearance.
I have Crux, a buddy has Ostro Gravel.
