One thing though, is the cog tha goes one onto the trainer inclued with the bike? Also, is it possible to see this compatible with the wahoo climbr?
Eh, except it’s another “trainer frame” that ignores that handlebar width is an essential part of fit. Another one for the trash unless you fit ridiculously wide bars.
The handlebars look liie they are easily swapped out
Yeah, I agree on the handlebar. 42cm with flare indoors 
However this is a sin most western bar makers keep making (see Deda alanera offering 40cm and wider only options…I really can’t comprehend this disconnect between companies and the market)
Why would you need narrow bars indoors? There is no aero benefit with narrow bars on Zwift …

but I still find them more comfortable. I used to ride 42cm until this summer but I couldn’t go back now.
Because the width of the bars affects your fit. I find drop bars significantly wider than my shoulders annoying. 
Also, I’ve just read online the bar cannot be replaced?? Can someone informed please confirm?
Not a deal breaker but certainly annoying not being able to squeeze a few watts of aero gainz in zwift 
Seriously, why are companies so slow in responding to customer’s needs? Bike fit is essential. 420mm with 6 degree flare indoors is rather questionable.
Edit: the article claiming that is non replaceable is rather old and in the pictures included the bolts on the stem are missing, which however do seem to be present now.
So whatever happened to the square? I see it keeps getting postponed.
Elite said on SOME that it’s starting to ship now, and one guy on Reddit have already received his. Sounds like there have been some trouble with the dialog with Zwift when it comes to button-integration.
DCR on the fitfile pocast said some customers have received theirs. He hasn’t got a test one yet though
Interestin. Is this how Elite usually rolls -pun intended- or this is a new approach?
If this is really the case, then I’m writing the Square off my list permanently. Trying to keep a product out of the hands of independent reviewers says it all that the company believes their product is a dud.
Yup, it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. I’m definitely open to switching to something like the Elite Square once I upgrade my training setup. A belt drive and electronic shifting would be a huge improvement — as long as it works in apps whose name doesn’t start with Zwift.
The Caveworks Rivet seems a nice counterpoint: you can also get it with a fixed gear setup, but you can use standard bike parts in it to adjust it to your liking.
Square: my fear is that either the virtual shifting isn’t reliable, or the belt drive system has a fundamental issue. Otherwise I can’t figure out why the ship date keeps slipping
Caveworks Rivet:
- For my use case - shared by my wife and me - doesn’t work with the lack of saddle fore/aft adjustment
- The seat post - using the 30.9 seat post instead of a 27.2 - and bottom bracket - 68mm threaded bottom bracket instead of the T47 - are big misses for me
- The aesthetic are aren’t great, but I could get past that if it had easy saddle fore/aft adjustment
If i were to hazard a guess, I’d wager it is the belt drive. They are extraordinarily difficult to develop.

There are plenty of bikes with belt drives and none of the bits seem complicated. What am I missing?
