Confused about weight management

Fwiw - I’ve worked with a cycling specific nutritionist for about a year now and his whole approach to lowering fat percentage revolves around a few things - using carbs as fuel only, eating enough protein to meet your muscle goals (stay the same or build), and eating lots of good stuff (veggies). Biggest one for lowering the fat % is the timing of the carbs. Obviously, the grams you need depends on your body, your workout intensity and length. Best way to figure out those requirements? Get a consult with a nutritionist who knows cyclists.
