It is a question of the value of marginal improvement in performance considering your riding objectives. I switched to SC reserve 27mm wheels on my MTB and immediately started getting Strava PRs, but I don’t race. So if I ask myself whether the PRs were worth the 1,600 I paid. The answer isn’t clear and depends on my mood at the time. I do like the lifetime warranty you get with a new pair - but that doesn’t cover labor and shipping.
