If that were my bike, I’d be tempted to DIY repair it.
A shop will grind it out, fill the hole with some filler and finish with a carbon fiber cloth patch. It’s not rocket science especially in a really thick area like that. Like I said, you could probably ride it as-is for another 20 years without a problem.
