Hard to see what the difference to the World Cup bike is except for 120TPI tyres instead of 180, and all the additional spares carried. He mentioned the 180mm front rotor, maybe the WC bike is 160/160?

Where did you read about Sauser and the Evo? It seems unlikely considering the lack of technical riding at Epic. The Evo isn’t any more structurally strong is it? (Genuine question - no idea) I didn’t see any Evo’s in the elite field myself.
I wonder whether any teams would make changes in hindsight. Seems Scott-SRAM don’t regret the Aspen still.
