An excellent point. But one thing worth noting is that people can sometimes improve recovery even as they get older - by better sleep, diet, etc - and can make gains via better exploiting that part of the equation. Often (clearly not always) younger guys don’t have that part as dialled in for the simple reason they don’t need to. I vividly remember at about 19-20 going out and nailing PRs after going out drinking the night before. If I tried that now… :grimacing::nauseated_face::face_vomiting:
