Mostly into randonneur style riding along with club rides locally. I suppose it’s common to say but I would like to get faster and fitter. I also started lifting weights and enjoy that a lot. 2019 is the first time I’ve trained in a structured fashion and really enjoy it. Doing TR on a dumb trainer with a powertap hub, sweet setup for 340$ used.
I used to ride rollers and try to do some basic intervals inside but never found it very engaging. I do outdoor rides in the winter when it’s warmer than -10 but often those are ‘just riding around’ casual style. For better conditioning and cross-training I ice skate a lot though now, 1-2h at a time… so 10-25km in a go. I used to nordic ski when there was better snow for it but that’s been a bust locally for me.
Hoping to have a great Paris-Brest-Paris this year and more 1200s in future.
