Will a sram 11 speed front derailleur work with 10 speed shifter?

That might be it. Still waiting for the new FD (with yaw) to arrive

Update. Got the new FD yesterday. Sram Rival 22 Yaw. Installed it today and it work so much better. There is a lot more “sideways” movement when shifting. Spent 5 minutes to install and adjust. Zero chain rub. happy times
