Thought I was clear. Maybe not? Either way, thanks for the reply. Was hoping you had good info on the hydration bit.
TT bikes should be banned in amateur triathlons. Road/mtb/divvy/unicycle only.
I find it correlates fairly closely with fatigue, but a day later than it’s already become apparent anyway. Resting heart rate being 5 beats higher tells me just as much, if not more.
Same here. RHR is a better predictor of fatigue for me, and HRV seems to be more of a lagging indicator.
Conveniently, all tri bikes are not necessarily TT bikes. This here is a nation unto it’s own bizarre governance.
(Also, unicycles? We can’t even make it out of transition without crashing into stuff half the time. Good god, man.)
Black is the most boring color for bikes.
“Stealth” is just another word for bland or forgettable.

No. Wrong! just wrong!
Black is awesome and can only be ruined by tan sidewalls (see previous unpopular opinion)

Paint matching for black bikes to cover scuffs and nicks is so easy
Practical = boring too ![]()
(As expected, I knew this would be unpopular, which is the point of the topic… so I’m pleased
)
Ha! I actually don’t like black bikes but I have one as it saved me money.
‘Earth tone’ jerseys are my least favourite colour trend in recent memory. You look like my lounge upholstery.
Bibs too! On a recent ride I was behind someone wearing tan bibs that were only a shade or 2 darker than his skin tone, and the seams were much darker in the back and formed a Y shape.
I’m all for body positivity…but at first I honestly thought he was riding in pantyhose and a thong ![]()
When I bought my XC bike at the height of the pandemic, my color choices were either black or no bike.
Made it a simple decision.
I’m always tempted to take a scraper to it, Dangerholm style, and rattle can it.
My Tarmac SL5 frame was replaced under warranty and I was disappointed that the only frame they could get was stealth.
Like, sure it looked cool, but I like color.
This is the kind of content I am here for!
Some people aren’t super in touch with how recovered they are feeling, like the post I was replying to, which explains why we have a wearable market. I’m not attaching any value to this market, nor am I making any judgement on accuracy… I was just making a plain old face-value statement about why this market even exists.
Personally I don’t make go/no-go decisions based on what my Whoop says, as I already demonstrated. For this reason I don’t find it all that useful. Entertaining, yes, but agreed - not worth the money.
We need more amateur TTTs. Imagine the carnage. An 8 person paceline of cyclists like me on a TT bike.
