Not any more than any other clip ons. Most will only let you widen the pads so far, and I don’t think I’ve ever had even a non-aero handlebar with enough real estate to fix the clamps any more than about 5mm away from the stem.
I do ride a 54cm frame and 38-40cm bars depending on the bike so I guess it might be a bigger issue if you’re a much taller/wider rider than me.
