You would still need to find some way to attach one side to the suit, similar to what I am considering for the base plate. When you use them for race numbers, you don’t have to worry about that since you aren’t removing and reattaching the other side. The two magnets hold themselves in place.
If you don’t secure the one side, it will slide down / move when you pull the hose off to take a drink.
