I’ve been considering trying out a rocker plate again. I have a Kickr V5. I would like something with fore/aft and side-to-side motion. My current considerations:
- Inside Ride E-Flex
– Pros: can use existing trainer, can buy one in my area for $200, small footprint
– Cons: I tried one previously and got motion sick. I think this may have been a setup issue on my end. It felt very loose and wobbly and I was unable to get it level. - Inside Ride Smart Rollers
– Pros: seems like good natural motion, small footprint, I have an extra wheel I could use as a training wheel with a trainer tire
– Cons: noise, price, responsiveness/accuracy of smart resistance - Trainer Tweaks
– Pros: price, highly adjustable, can add turntable for front wheel motion, my fiancée will appreciate my wax staying off the floor
– Cons: footprint - Rockr Axis
– Pros: currently can be had for 20%, seems to check all the boxes, my fiancée will appreciate my wax staying off the floor
– Cons: price, footprint
