Thé stages bike is commercially built so that’s a plus and you can whack a board underneath if you like sideways movement and even use it for spin classes but the delay and accuracy of erg mode make it not viable for the use it was intended. The kickr looks like it will last a year before breaking and there is a guy that has broken a few. They just look weak. If they had a solid build quality, got decent bars and rid of cables and made it look more commercial t would have been a winner but it misses out on some things deserving of an item priced so high. The Tacx bike v2 now appears to have it all except the vertical up and down hill control. I don’t think any of them are yet ready for prime time and are almost concept models put out there to test the market and use the consumer as a Guinea pig
