Yeah, I’m about 205cm tall, ~38" inseam. Since this bike has S&S couplers, I can put it in it’s box that can be checked as luggage on a plan (i.e. no additional fee). It’s awesome to be able to ride my own bike when I go on trips.
Can I post my hip?
Yes, let’s see it! It’s part of your equipment!
Full spec please, Shimano or Campag etc…
Kinesis Tripster ATR v 2 from the UK. In this pic is set up with 650b, 2.1 inch MTB tires. I’ve changed them to some 42mm gravel tires.
Had this built for me in 2010. Basic Ultegra SL drivetrain, Mavic wheels, Gilles Berthoud carbon fenders, Tubus Ti rack, Brooks Ti rail saddle and Brooks leather bar tape. Even a Ti bell. Absolutely love this thing. It’s now got about 35,000km. It would have more if my riding wasn’t split between this, my tri bike, and my mountain bike.
Updated my Ritchey, TRP cx8.4 mini V brakes, and H plus son Archetypes with Powertap g3 hub.
Omega Alchemy, dated from 2003, originally fitted with 6600 triple Ultegra. See first photo with Mavic SSC SL wheels.
Now upgraded shifters and brakes to 6800 (still triple) to take wider modern wheels.
Love it enormously. (Currently sitting in garage because I am recovering from operation at the moment).
…and yes that is a carbon rear stay on a titanium frame.
Sadly, Omega went out of business in 2004, just after this arrived and Enigma rose out of the ashes.
My first Ti frame was an Omega Radius in 2004 (pretty much the same but with Ti seat stays). It was great but the bike fit software they were using at the time over-compensated for my long arms giving me a 60cm top tube (I’m normally on a 57-58cm top tube these days).
Some of Burls’ first Ti frames were actually re-badged Omegas that weren’t delivered by the factory due to non-payment. I also had a Burls a few years ago which came from the same factory.
Interesting @pod1976. Glad someone else had an Omega.
I had their bike fit and I agree, I think this was a touch large, so I use a shorter stem than it came with and narrower handlebars. Done a lot of miles on it and it definitely feels natural and like home still.
Not come across Burls - will look them up.
Golden hour pictures with a titanium bike… You’ve got some stunning pictures there!
Realised I didn’t actually upload the photo!
Also moved over my Sram eTap as well as Rotor Aldhu 165 cranks on BSA30 BB.
I thought the exact same thing. Wouldn’t be out of place in a catalogue.
I just finished building up a Twin Six Ti Rando XC. I just used the groupset that was on my original gravel bike (Frankenstein build from a cheaper steel frame) so I’ll have a proper groupo in the hopefully near future. This thing is insanely comfy and helped me shave almost eight pounds off the total bike weight from my previous gravel rig.
I’m looking forward to properly breaking it in during some time off from work for the holiday weekend (US). This is my first titanium bike and I’m already hooked.
Your bike deserves (deserved, based on delayed response) another ride, “maybe” a wash, but definitely another ride. #itsatooluseit
