How much slower is my bike?

IMHO the standout feature of the Vittorias is the ride quality. I don’t know whether it is the higher TPI in the carcass, the rubber compound, the construction or everything, but they are noticeably smoother than other tires I have tried. I love the ride quality to bits.

They “feel” faster than the Pirelli P-Zero whatever-the-top-end-regular-tire is called. I should bite the bullet and try GP 5ks, but I am tempted to get Corsa Controls for the off-season.

I have only flatted on them once and deserved it, the tires were not to blame in that instance. (Think a mixture of cobbles with stones missing and gravel.)

Agree. They ride well. I was disappointed with durability. I think was about 3,500 km and they were done.

My aero road bike spends most of the time on the trainer, so I don’t actually know how many kms Vittoria tires last. Out of curiosity, how does that compare to other tires in your experience?

I haven’t been tracking it carefully lately. I ride about 1,000 to 1,200km monthly. I started the outdoor season mid March. And the rear one was done before June. But until June there were quite a few indoor seasons still.

I them swap to my Carbon wheels and a fresh rear GP5K and it lasted all season. It’s in fact running as a front tire on my new (OLD) SuperSix, and there’s still some rubber.

My MICHELIN Power Cup Competition tyres are up to 5,500 km and still going strong.

Weight can play a big difference in this test. Im not saying thats true in this case but you need to be aware of other variables.
