Gravel bike on compacted snow?

They are very hard to find unfortunately (none of the shops sell them). Will get some next time and leave them here. But In the meantime this is ok to expedite a long dog walk.

I may be crossing the beams here. I’ve got studded on my fat bike and it makes it sturdy like a mountain goat. I recognize that studded options for gravel sizes may be harder to come by.

I’m very impressed by the grip of the Schwalbe g-one R:

Had very good traction climbing AH today after a bit of a snow storm, while cars were all stopping for chains etc.

I would have not gone out with my road bike in this:

I wouldn’t have gone out on my gravel bike

Ride today. The temps were right around freezing and the groomed trails were soft. Fell about 5-6 times. Going downhill and all of a sudden my front wheel sinks 6-12” into the snow will do that! The good news is that falling in deep snow doesn’t hurt (most of the time anyway).
