I have had Kogel ceramic, Chinese ceramic, ultegra, dura-ace, SRAM, etc, etc. Can’t tell a dime’s worth of difference — except that I like the cool blue color of Kogel.
For me, the biggest issue with changing jockey wheels all the time is that it’s easy to eventually strip the threads in my rear derailleur cage (been there?), those silly 10.5mm and 12.5(?)mm screws get tired, remembering tension pulley vs. guide pulley, bearing orientation, etc. etc.
Frankly, it’s too much work. I’d rather get on the bike and smash my pedals a wee bit harder.
