Buying a new direct drive trainer

I am not the expert, but here are my personal picks:

Neo 1 & 2

  • Not the 2T until they fix the power data issues.

CycleOps Hammer, H2 and the rebranded Saris H3 .

  • Make sure to load the latest firmware that addresses the old issues.

If you find a prior Kickr17 refurbished , that is a good buy.

  • Even a used 2014 or 2016 model if you find one.

Kinetic Road Machine for the best dumb trainer.

  • To include the Rock & Roll model.
