Why runners should not strength train? (Nor cyclists?)

I don’t know about Jonathan as far as following to the T but a lot of the elite guests on the podcast never indicate they actually use the platform. They often mention their coaches and usually they’re just talking about training in general.

Just because TR puts red in your calendar does not mean plenty of professional cyclists as well as elite amateurs (almost all riding >20hr/week) are not also doing gym sessions. Many are incorporating some sort of lifting routine that of course changes throughout the season.

That is not the case for all the people. TR usually does not even give me a yellow day after a strength session, let alone a red one.
