A 200k brevet is not really a race, so I’m thinking I should schedule it as an ‘other’ ride. But the longer ones are events to train for. So I’m asking in case anyone has some insights.
IMHO it depends on the intensity you have to put into it and how well you recover. I do several 200km+ rides which are just endurance rides. Usually on Saturday. Then I go either for a short ride on Sunday or skip and restart on Tuesday.
But if you never went for you may need couple days of short/light rides or rest after it…
