Me late to the party reading this thread, yes! Can’t wait! Scrolling down seeing release of 1.1, wait, that was 5 days ago. Oh boy, here we go again… Lol. Still nothing new showing up here.
Please tell me the multi sport plans are included in this!!!
Good question. I think TR would argue that part of the value is using their suggested plan, ie it would be like hiring a coach and then building your calendar your own.
Having said that, go to Masters if your haven’t done that yet (2 hard days per week) and beyond that, follow the prescription, but just choose easier PLs of your not feeling it.
As outdoor unstructured workout data will now be taken account of which i a good thing it will likely overestimate my performance….my outdoor power data is significantly higher than indoor ( left sided power outdoor vs tacx neo indoor). I don’t use my good bike on the trainer and buying matching meters isn’t an option.
So should I just exclude these ooutdoor rides from trainerroad after the update?
You don’t just ask on the forum to be in the beta. There’s a beta sign up link that you have to use. And then you wait and hope that you get added. They already have a large number of beta testers, so they might not add more before launch.
Edit: as @kevistraining pointed out there’s a new link that allows you to request early access, whereas it was closed beta before. That probably means they are taking most people that request it.
I used your AI FTP prediction feature to analyze whether or not my two-a-days were doing me any good, aaaand… they’re not! Turns out that filling all of my available training windows with training does not (surprise surprise) lead me to be the strongest rider I can be. I’ve also been wondering whether or not I could benefit from some very long endurance rides. Don’t have to worry about that anymore, either because it’s not going to help. Perhaps pushing the FTP prediction farther out in time will result in a different conclusion, but then the Monte Carlo dispersion explodes, so that may not be helpful.
I have to say @Nate_Pearson that this new release has completely blown me away with how good of a product it is. I’ve never had more confidence in my training plan. I’m getting hours of my life back AND better expected results. To me there is no way that a coach can provide a better service than TR unless they fully utilize TR.
Can you define “very long endurance rides”? And what type of events are you targeting? (If you’re racing 8+ hour gravel/mtb events there is surely a benefit to putting in some extended saddle time.. even if it isn’t FTP related)
