TR not seeing power from trainer since bike change w/ di2

Hi there, recently changed my bike and it has the 12s Ultegra di2. Since then, my wahoo kicker core smart trainer has been not seeing the power and cadence whenever loading a workout or it’s very spotty. The device is connected via Bluetooth, and it’s paired and has been paired without any issues in the past.

I did all the testing of calibrations, removing the device, turning it off/on, etc and nothing is doing.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue ? Any thoughts as to what might be the issue ?

I even removed all potential interfering devices, etc but it’s not resolving the matter.

Thanks,
Jonathan

That sounds sketchy. I would try to debug:

  • Does it work without the bike mounted? That would be strange but who knows.
  • Did you change something else besides the bike?
  • To what kind of device are you trying to conmect?

Maybe the trainer got damaged somehow?

Agree it’s sketchy.

I put back my girlfriend’s bike on it (no di2) … no issues.

I added a Sonos speaker in the room, which I unplugged to test even if it was that. Removed all other connectivity elements on the bike, even my powermeter, nothing is doing.

Tested iPad instead of iPhone, no difference.

A bit out of solutions at this point. Would Ant+ or direct connect change anything ?

BT is sometimes finicky. If your bike was previously connect to your phone or another device via BT remove it and give it a shot. ANT+ I think is way better. Hope that helps.

No harm in trying it. A wild guess di2 is interfering with bluetooth but I thought that was more likely with Ant + :exploding_head:
