Which bike workouts are people generally doing on Friday’s before the long ride on Saturday? I’m trying to workout a way where my legs aren’t completely trashed for the long ride on a Saturday but can’t seem to find a way to balance this. I was doing VO2 on Friday’s but would often have nothing left for Saturday, any tips?
I dont, I tend to swim and/or tempo run the day before a long ride.
And I tend to do my VO2 bike session on a monday.
I have 4 bike workouts a week.
Tue, Wed, Fri, Sun.
Sunday is my long ride or long SS workout.
If VO2 workout is affecting your workout the next day, you’re doing too much. Lower the intensity of the Vo2 from 120 to 110%. You get 90-95% of the benefit, but at 20% of the cost.
