Another vote one of these, I have one of these to the front and a pedestal fan at the rear and that’s enough

Just buy the Wahoo fan, cheap and works well.

I have 8 fans, including a Lasko, and some days need more. 🤷 YMMV…

Speaking of fans, a cheap remote plug outlet can be a game changer as it allows you to easily delay starting the fan until you warm up. This is especially nice if your room is on the cool side. Even just a few minutes to warm up can make a big difference in comfort. Its even nicer if you’re running multiple fans as you can then bring on, or turn down, your cooling in multiple stages. There are a million of them on Amazon and they are dirt cheap (e.g. 3 plugs, one multi button controller for $16).

You need A/C for your training room.

+1 on a headband. Finally breaking down and wearing a sweatband was almost as much of a game changer for sweat control. as getting a Lasko. Turns out almost all the sweat that was actually annoying to me during a trainer ride was coming off my head and a basic sweatband soaks up almost all of it.

I bought this after it was recommended on the podcast and can confirm it moves some serious air. I thought my previous fans were fine, but this one is probably 3x stronger than my others. It has 3 speeds and I’ve never had it higher than the second setting.

The Lasko then. That makes sense, good to hear it can move lots of air and be reasonably quiet.

I never complain about hot rides outside, but I just can’t with the hard cardio indoors with no air moving. I don’t understand how the gym rats do intense cardio with no fans. Pass. 😀

I’ve got a Belkin switched strip that is perfect. [It’s this guy](https://www.belkin.com/p/conserve-switch/F7C01008q.html), and it’s got enough outlets to handle pretty much everything. I’ve got fans and lights plugged into it. The switch takes a firm press, but it works great! But it’s on or off only.

I’ve got a split unit in that room. It’s game though, because if you don’t have it turned on enough before riding, it’ll never catch up to the heat and humidity there. It can seriously chill down the room, but it hits on recovery and the ironic named ‘cool down’ interval. One of the 8 is also a ceiling fan, which makes it even easier to deal with the temps while punishing myself.

The problem with floor fans is that they tend to suck the animal hair off the floor and sprinkle it in eyes, nose, mouth, etc…

That floor dryer would be thoroughly unenjoyable! lol

For context, w the lasko, I used to ride in my garage in winter and had to start the ride off with gloves on til I was warmed up!

Yes the Lasko. It’s super powerful but I wouldn’t call it too quiet. Definitely much louder than my other fans, but it doesn’t really bother me. I honestly only use it in the summer or intense rides in the winter. I’m a cold-natured person and I actually prefer my less powerful fan for the majority of my indoor rides except the summer months when it’s much warmer in the house.

I was resistant to the lasko, but a friend moving had one for sale so i nabbed it and was blown away. ( see what i did there? )

Liked it so much i got another lasko ( but a standard one you use to dry rugs etc. ) and have it plugged into the other and angles up at me from the side.

Never going back to regular fans.

I have the Lasko aimed at my feet, an ~18" Vornado aimed at my midsection from under the desk, and two smaller Vornadoes (~12") aimed from the sides at my upper half along with the fans built into the bike, and the ceiling fan, with an ~18" Vornado turned on for hard efforts/attempts at racing to blow on the upper. Kicking in the A/C is surprisingly necessary. I thought it was a large enough room to make it harder to heat up, but the heat and humidity is rather striking, rising noticeably from 2 to as many as 5 degrees and humidity levels skyrocketing. (The stench from the sweat gets a little oppressive after a while too. 🤢 Yeah, in spite of the fans, I still leave puddles and streaks on the mat. Fat tears?)
