Sick at the beginning of the specialty block. What to do?

So I’m finding myself sick at the beginning of the specialty block. Foolishly tried to do the FTP test today and unsurprisingly that didn’t go so well. I’m not on AT beta, nor training for a particular event.

So the $1M question is do I just repeat the rest week from the previous block and restart the specialty next week, do something else? What’s a good protocol?

Depending on how long you have off, I wouldn’t repeat the rest week.

I’m not debilitatingly sick, so I can still ride. I just don’t necessarily want to do anything harder than 50% of my FTP, to give my body a chance to recover. The main question, I guess, is how to keep the fitness I have and continue with my program next week.
