Short Road Race = Long Criterium in Plan Builder

For the rest of this season, my A races are short road races - in the 12-30 mile range and taking 30-70 minutes (State Senior Games, qualifiers for National Senior Games). Rolling road race is certainly an apt description, but in reality, the short distance and the nature of the competition is closer to an open masters criterium than it is to an ordinary multi-hour road race.

Should I list these as rolling road races in plan builder, or should I list them as criteriums to get the optimum training?

I would try to ignore the “labels” and look at the workouts within each plan. Look at the bulk of workouts within each week of each plan.

Then take a guess as to the type of efforts (power and duration) that you expect to need. Pick whichever you think best mimics the demands you expect.
