I have a rest week scheduled for this week. However, I have a 40mi/5600’ MTB race in two weeks. I’d rather get in one more good training week this week and possibly then rest the week of the race (taper-ish)…or even use the rest week for the week after the race.
What is the best way to do this to limit impact to my current training plan?
Do I just manually input some different workouts for this week (overwriting the rest workouts; possibly copying what I did this past week) and then do something similar next week (placing this weeks rest workouts next week)?
Any insight is appreciated.
