Prioritizing outside enduro, with indoor structured rides

i am a 59 year old male with access to many enduro style (up/down) mountain bike trails nearby. my priority is fun outdoor rides with friends, not races or competitions.

during the summer i ride outside anywhere from 0-4 times a week depending on weather. i also use a HR montitor and strava to track my rides (for interest sake).

is there a good way to use TR “fill in the gaps” when the weather is bad and i’m not able to ride outside?
if i import the strava ride information into TR, will “TrainNow” take this into account and choose the appropiate rides (or rest days), as needed?

TrainNow is certainly your best bet. It’s not a plan so won’t schedule rest or periodize your schedule. It will look at your recent rides and account for them in the recommended workout.

I think it uses strava rides to guesstimate your overall training stress rather than some super exact time in zone calculation. This will change with workout levels V2 in the future. But yes train now will help give you an appropriate workout based on that.
