The GOAT is on the move!! 20km to go!
Faulkner doing some serious work! She drug that back in less than 2k
This is all coming back together……what a finish.
OMG !!! (All I can say)
Wow! sure is… Gold!
That’s absolutely awesome. Thoroughly deserved
HOLY SCHITT!!! Go Kristen….what a move!!
Wow, that was amazing, what a move, deserved
Unreal
All kudos to Faulkner
Disappointed the other three didn’t chase after that awesome catch
What a fight for Silver as well.
Silver Vos
Serious Group 2 Syndrome
Awesome move by Faulkner to go when she and Kopecky caught Vos & Vas
I cannot believe they sat up like that. Kopecky not confident she could close it and still win the sprint? If she had followed, she still might have lost to Vos but I would bet she’d at least be in silver.
I’m not sure chasing was an option. It looked like Vos tried and the gap slowly widened, and then Kopecky didn’t appear to have the strength to do more than sit in as Faulkner brought the 30 second gap back.
Regardless, catching the break and rolling right through it is such an old school move it’s awesome to see it work on the biggest stage in women’s cycling
Faulkner probably felt (knew?) her best chance was to get away and that sitting up once they caught Vos and Vas meant the chocolate medal.
Just an amazing race.
Gutted for Spanish badminton player Carolina Marin…3x World Champ and former OLY champ but had blown out the ACL in both knees over the last few years.
Just suffered a knee injury in her semi match-up that she was dominating…tried to use a brace and continue but collapsed in tears, sobbing uncontrollably after two points and not being able to continue.
Heartbreaking.
Absolutely. Rockstar move
What do I know, but you’re sitting there as Olympic gold is riding away and all of you decide to race for silver instead…after all that…
Tiffany Keep was a DNF Hope all is okay.
It is just the other side of “risk losing to win”……but rather than risking it on yourself, you are risking it on the actions of others.
Same team but different athlete to @ivegotabike link last week
Can’t say I’m a fan of Noah Lyles, but that lean at the end of the 100 is the only reason he won that race and it was impressive. Technically perfect
